The second Monday of every month from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm. The 2018 dates – Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, and Dec. 10.
Who can attend?
Anyone who wants to file their own dissolution of a civil union, dissolution of a marriage (divorce) or custody action or just wants information on divorce and custody. It doesn’t matter if you have children or don’t have children of the marriage or civil union. You are welcome.
Who teaches the clinic?
The clinic is taught by volunteer attorneys who work in your community.
What will I learn?
You will learn basic and general information about Colorado family law. We will not be giving you advice on your particular case. Instead, we will show you what papers you need to start the action, general procedures for filing and getting the action going, issues to look out for, resources for forms and rules. The first half of the clinic covers general information applicable to dissoluton of marriage or civil union. The second half of the clinic covers issues concerning children and custody.
How do I attend the clinic?
Just show up (pre-registration is not required). The clinic is held at the Durango Public Library at 1900 E. 3rd Avenue, Durango, Colorado.
